Role Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to support the Legal Director, APAC, in providing comprehensive legal guidance and commercial counsel to Cynosure Lutronic’s operations across the Asia-Pacific region. The Corporate Counsel will ensure that day-to-day business activities, contracts, and regulatory matters are conducted in compliance with applicable laws and corporate policies, while facilitating business growth and operational efficiency.
This role will collaborate closely with commercial, R&D, supply chain, HR, and finance teams to deliver pragmatic legal advice that balances risk and business objectives. The Corporate Counsel will also contribute to the development and implementation of regional compliance, contract management, and corporate governance initiatives.
Role Responsibilities:
STRATEGIC
• Support the Legal Director, APAC, in implementing regional legal strategies aligned with Cynosure Lutronic’s business goals.
• Develop an understanding of the company’s products, services, and commercial operations to provide commercially relevant legal advice.
• Assist in identifying legal and regulatory risks and propose practical, business-oriented solutions.
• Contribute to legal and compliance initiatives to promote ethical conduct and risk mitigation across APAC markets.
OPERATIONAL
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including distribution, supply, service, licensing, marketing, and consulting agreements.
• Provide day-to-day legal support to regional business teams in areas such as sales, marketing, product launch, and employment.
• Assist with regulatory compliance and product registration issues, in coordination with the Regulatory and Quality teams.
• Manage legal documentation and maintain records in accordance with corporate policies and local legal requirements.
• Coordinate and oversee external counsel in litigation, regulatory, or transactional matters as assigned by the Legal Director, APAC.
• Support investigations, audits, and internal reviews as needed.
• Prepare legal updates and training for business teams on relevant topics (e.g., anti-bribery, data privacy, competition law).

• Act as a trusted legal advisor to business partners, fostering a culture of proactive legal engagement.
• Collaborate effectively within a cross-border, matrixed organization to ensure consistent legal standards and communication.
• Provide input and feedback to the Legal Director, APAC, on regional risks, trends, and opportunities.
• Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the global legal team.

• Ability to manage and liaise with external counsel efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Practical understanding of corporate governance, data protection, and compliance frameworks.
Experience and Education:
• Law degree (LLB, JD, or equivalent) with admission to practice in an APAC jurisdiction (Australia or England/Wales admission is strongly preferred),
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience, including at least 2 years in-house experience within an international organization.
• Prior exposure to cross-border transactions or multi-jurisdictional legal issues preferred.
• Experience in the medical device, life sciences, or high-technology industries an advantage.
• Fluency in English required; proficiency in Mandarin, Korean, or other Asian languages a plus.
